2026 APACRS LIM LECTURE

The APACRS LIM Lecture is the highest award of the society. Since 1991, outstanding ophthalmologists who have made extraordinary contributions to the development of cataract and refractive surgery have been invited to deliver this lecture at the annual meeting of the APACRS.
Dr Sri Ganesh will be delivering the 2026 APACRS LIM Lecture titled My Journey Through the Evolution of Refractive Surgery – From RK to KLEx. This lecture traces a 30-year journey of a young surgeon’s deepening interest in refractive surgery, beginning with radial keratotomy and progressing through successive technological advances including LASIK, femtosecond laser–assisted LASIK, KLeX, and ICLs. It highlights key lessons learned along the way, the clinical research that helped refine techniques and improve outcomes, and the pioneering work in tissue addition for hyperopia using KLeX. |
