Professor Emeritus Wanicha Chuenkongkaew Is an Ophthalmologist with medical license from the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, Board Certification in Ophthalmology from Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand, Fellowship certification in Neuro-ophthalmology, University of Michigan Medical Center, USA. and the Kitasato University, JAPAN. She is the Previous President, Royal college of ophthalmologists of Thailand and the Regional Coordinator, Asia-Pacific Network on Health Professional Education Reforms (ANHER). She is a founder of Thai Neuro-ophthalmology Society. She also served as an Assistant Dean on Academic Affairs, Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, a Vice President on Education, Mahidol University and a member of Technical Working Groups, WHO on Health Professional Education Reform. She is currently Vice President on Research, Innovation and International Relations, Praboromarajchanok Institute, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand. She successfully developed a new Ophthalmology Residency Training Program based on Postgraduate Medical Education WFME Global Standards for Quality Improvement (2015) and currently serves as audit committee chair under Thai Medical council to oversee academic institutions in Thailand.
