S. Grace Prakalapakorn, MD, MPH is a tenured Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Pediatrics at Duke University Medical Center, Director of International Outreach at the Duke University Eye Center, and has Affiliate faculty status at the Duke Global Health Institute. She is a pediatric ophthalmology fellowship-trained clinician scientist. Her research focus is on improving access to care and outcomes in underserved communities by adapting innovative strategies to address clinically relevant problems. She is currently a co-chair of the Stop Infant Blindness in Africa (SIBA) initiative, a former Fulbright Scholar to Thailand, and has worked on ORBIS International’s Flying Eye Hospital. Dr. Prakalapakorn was selected for The Ophthalmologist 2021 Power List: One of the 100 most influential female figures in Ophthalmology.
