LEO Seo Wei

Dr Leo Seo Wei is Medical Director and Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist at Dr Leo Adult & Paediatric Eye Specialist in Singapore. Formerly Head of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute and Senior Consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, she combines subspecialty expertise in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus with longstanding interests in cataract surgery, refractive care and myopia management, including femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery. Dr Leo graduated MBBS from the National University of Singapore, completed her Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology), and is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. She completed fellowship training in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles. Dr Leo serves on the Executive and Scientific Bureau of the World Society of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and is a board member of the European Myopia Society. An internationally invited speaker, she has presented regularly at APACRS, ESCRS and APAO meetings. She is lead author of the WSPOS myopia consensus statements (2016, 2023, 2025) and recipient of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Achievement Award (2017). Her work spans clinical care, research, education, and professional leadership.
