Dr. Abhay Vasavada is the Research Director for the Iladevi Cataract & IOL Research Centre and the Clinical Director and Principal Trainer for the Phacoemulsification Program: National and International of the Raghudeep Eye Clinic in India. Dr. Vasavada is a dedicated educator for the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and has been Chief Instructor for the instructional course on congenital cataract surgery and phacoemulsification of the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) since 1996. Over 100 ophthalmologists have been awarded fellowships in cataract surgery under his guidance.
